Our New Friends From the Land Down Under

It has been a busy summer here at Brunstad Law. We began a working relationship with a multinational property management firm, Ray White Property Management, based in Australia. We are working with their US Operations headquartered in Atlanta.

This relationship is a natural fit for Brunstad Law. Ray White was looking to restructure their clients’ portfolio of rental properties, and our attorneys have extensive international real estate finance experience.

Since working with Ray White, we have successfully closed over a dozen investment properties, with a steady stream of closings scheduled in the coming months.  Beyond providing legal services, we were able to leverage our network to connect Ray White with multifamily investment group that was in the market for a property management firm.

Many of Ray White’s clients are spread across the Eastern Hemisphere. To help their clients conduct business in the US without being physically present, we designed and implemented a process to coordinate their international real estate transactions. This process involved scheduling embassy appointments for our clients, so that they could notarize a Power of Attorney form to enable us to consummate the transaction on their behalf. We also performed a review of how the legal entities were structured to ensure Ray White’s clients could easily purchase properties and manage their investments from abroad. Much easier than boarding a ~12 hr flight to put ink to paper.

Working with Ray White has been a very rewarding experience. We hope that by fostering a spirit of international cooperation we can positively influence those around us, continue to grow our practice, and foster more client relationships with parties outside the US.
